Dual Channel TENS ProM-300

TENS (Transcutaneous Nerve Stimulator) are small battery controlled devices that help control pain.  The ProM-300 is a simple and easy to use TENS unit.  A great TENS unit to have at home or office and comes with a Hard Plastic Carrying case so it can easily be carried with you where ever you go.  You do not have to have a prescription to have one of these units.

HOW DOES THE TENS CONTROL PAIN?

TENS treats many types of pain.  It can lessen short-term (acute) pain, like after surgery or an accident, or long term (chronic) pain such as arthritis, back or muscle pain.  It has been found that even some cancer pain may also be lessened with a TENS unit.  Some people have trouble taking pain medicine; the TENS is a safe, drug-free way to help control pain for everyone. 

Electrode pads with sticky backing are attached to the skin; their placement depends upon the type and location of your pain.  When small electrical impulses are delivered to underlying nerve fibers, two things happen:
                           
                             (1) The nerves take messages to the brain about what they feel, the TENS signal can replace the message of pain on these nerves with a tingling sensation. This changes your brains impression of the pain.
                             (2) The TENS signals may also increase the amount of endorphins in your body.   Endorphins are a natural pain relieving chemical that is made by your body.
